Dennis Caco, The Undress feature in San Diego Union Tribune

After an appearance on “Good Morning, America” in New York City, two executives with The Undress invited investors from their highly successful Kickstarter campaign to join them for lunch at a restaurant in Times Square.

One woman showed up after finishing a 10k, and wanted to try out the product she’d been investing in — a garment that allows women to change clothes in public without nudity. She successfully went from her running gear (including her sports bra) to jeans, a top, and another bra while at the table.

“I’ve used the dress myself. It freaking works,” said Dennis Caco.

Caco is the creator of The Undress, a halter maxi dress that functions as a type of portable changing room for women that can also double as an actual dress. He and his business partner, April Estrada, have been running the Mission Valley business since 2014, after a successful Kickstarter campaign that brought them more than $615,000 from over 7,000 investors.
